Mid Century Modern contemporary industiral design pr matching 1948 Walter von Nessen lamps. Walter von Nessen 1889 - 1943. A german immigrant, Von Nessens effects on contemporary lamp design goes back to 1927, when he set up Nessen Studios in New Yorks Murray Hill section. He was a member of the new modern movement that included Walter Dorwin Teague, Donald Deskey, Gilbert Rhode and Russell Wright. Original condition with some very minor use marks. Solid walnut with chrome inlay.
