Large Italian walnut cassone c1720
Large Italian walnut cassone, c1720. This cassone measures 57 inches wide by 20 inches deep and 20 and one half inches high. There is a 3 inch repair to the top board where it is hinged to the back board. This is a repair we always see on Cassones of this age because the hinge would break off from continued use over three hundred years. The rest of the piece is all original.
