Nelson Augustus Moore landscape oil painting on canvas

Nelson Augustus Moore oil on canvas painting of trees. Moore was born in 1824 and died in 1902 in Kensington, CT. This fine landscape is in very good condition. It has been mounted in a new gold leaf frame appropriate to the period. The frame measures 12 by 13 and one half inches, the painting measures 6 and one quarter inches by 7 and three quarter inches. It is signed with the Moore studio stamp and in pencil on back. Please see Who Was Who in American Art, page 2320, to learn more about the artist.
