Period 18th century English oak letter or document box c1780
Period 18th century English oak letter or document box c1780. This early box retains its original hinges and to handle. The front and sides are held together with fine hand cut dovetails. Measures 10 inches deep, 18 inches wide and 5 and one half inches high. Made from solid English oak with a single board pine bottom. Lovely old waxed patina. Key missing, replaced front key escutcheon.
