Charles X tantalus from the Duchesse de la Roche Guillaume Seine
French Charles X period tantalus from the Duchesse de la Roche Guillaume, Seine. This fine rosewood tantalus was made France in early 19th century. The top, front and base are inlaid with brass, ivory and red enamel. There are four Baccarat decanters and sixteen Baccarat glasses. Each decanter is 8 inches high and the glasses are 3 inches high. The box itself measures 13 and one half inches wide,10 inches deep and 10 and three quarter inches high. There is one replacement glass. Original key. This set is was brought back from Paris over 50 years ago. The pictures do not do the piece justice. This piece is far more important looking in person.
