French Beau Brummel vanity with mirror c1820 French Beau Brummel, or vanity stand, made circa 1820-30. Cherry or other fruitwood. All original. Measures 23 inches wide by 17 inches deep. It is 31 inches high when closed, and 43 inches high when the mirror is standing up. Tiny pegs on the bottom of the mirror frame fit into holes in the surface below so it does not slide when open. Both top and shelf surfaces have beaded edges.
