Antique Hippopotamus tusk horn lamp with custom shade
Hippopotamus tusk lamp with custom made shade. This pair of 19th century Hippopotamus tusks were made into a table lamp about ten years ago. A hippo tusk is actually a long incisor or canine tooth. The joined tusks are 16 and one half inches wide by 19 inches tall. The lamp measures 36 inches from the base to the top of the finial. The round base measures 6 inches. The diameter of the shade is 26 inches at the bottom of the flair.This is truly a one of a kind lamp.
