C.C. Hermann sterling silver lion base tankard c1950
C.C. Hermann sterling silver lion base tankard c1950. C. C. Hermann was a master silversmith who worked in Copenhagen between1949 and 1965. We were told by our consignor that this piece was the one he entered to become part of the silver guild. The tri pod base is quite wonderful with lions that have their feet resting on large balls. This silver tankard measures 5 and three quarter inches high with a 4 and one quarter inch top. The base measures 6 inches across the lion base. The base is hallmarked C C Hermann Denmark Sterling 54 Y. Weighs 610 grams.
