Emiliano Di Cavalcanti nude pen and ink drawing

Pen and ink drawing on hand made paper of a nude woman by Cavalcanti (Emiliano Di Cavalcanti), a Brazilian artist born in Rio de Janeiro in 1897, and died in 1967. Emiliano Di Cavalcanti painted in France, and exhibited in the modernist salons. Emiliano Di Cavalcanti is one of the few Latin American artists well known outside of South America. This pen and ink drawing measures 9 and one half inches by 12 and one half inches. The frame measures 17 by 21 inches. The condition is very good with no repairs, cracks or damage of any kind. This drawing depicts a woman with a rather piqued expression. She is nude except for a bracelet, a large ring, and a billowing head wrap that shadows her cat-like eyes. Signed and dated 1963.
