Walnut Victorian double door bookcase
Antique walnut Victorian double door bookcase. This American Victorian double door bookcase was made from solid black walnut with burl veneer on its drawer fronts. Excellent original condition. This is a difficult size to come by being 57 and three quarters inches high to the top of its back splash,49 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Most Victorian bookcases are much larger and hard to find space for. The shelves are each 10 inches wide and have walnut trim on their faces. The three original shelves are adjustable to any position. The two drawers each measure 20 by 5 inches and retain their original brass hardware and locks. Each drawer was made with wide hand cut dovetails which we show in one of the pictures provided. This book case also has its original wavy blown glass. This American Victorian furniture bookcase dates from c1865.
