A C Goodwin painting Beacon Hill Boston

ITEM# 4568
A C Goodwin painting Beacon Hill Boston

Arthur Clifton Goodwin oil on canvas painting of Beacon Hill Boston. This oil on canvas was painted by "A C Goodwin" and depicts a street scape of The Beacon Hill section of Boston at the end of the day. The colors and detail are wonderful with the sun setting and reflecting on and highlighting the colors of the buildings. A C Goodwin was born in 1864 and died in 1929. Member of the Boston GA and self taught. To see a large biography on the artist go to Who Was Who In American Art page 1325. A C Goodwin is one of the important American Impressionist artists of the late 19th century. Condition is excellent. The painting was professionally relined and cleaned years ago. The period original frame measures 33 by 29 inches and the painting measures 24 by 20 and one half inches.

Thank you for your quick reply. I am really shocked at the price. I knew many people here wanted it, but probably figured I didn't know what I had and they wanted to buy it for nothing. I am glad I held on to it.
Thanks again!
