The Dying Gaul bronze signed B. Boschetti ROMA. The Dying Gaul signed B. Boschetti ROMA. Benedetto Boschetti was active between 1820 and 1870. He had a shop at Via Condotti #74 where he sold his bronzes, marbles, and decorative objects. He was also known as a mosaic artist. His bronzes were primarily fine copies after famous classical antiquities. The original Dying Gaul, now lost, was a Greek bronze sculpture created around 225 BC.
