Shahla Arbabi was Professor of Art in the Department of Architecture and Fine Arts of the University of Teheran, Iran from 1790 to 1974 and a student at the American University, Washington , DC from 1974 to 1983. Her paintings have been purchased and exhibited by several large corporations, including SOHIO Oil Co MCI Telecommunications Corp and Lockeed Corporation. Other works are in private collections.She has been written about in the Washington Post Saturday December 21, 1991 and several other publications.She was also one of the five artists in of "The Phillips Connection" curated by Willem DE Looper at the Shippee Gallery in New York March 5 through April 11,1987. This mixed media piece measures 45 and one half inches by 37 and one half inches. |
