Antique hickory splint basket swing handle C1830
Antique oak splint market basket with swing handle. This country market basket dates from the early to mid 19th century is in excellent condition and measures 13 inches across by 5 and one half inches high. The handle had Apel written on it.This basket would have been used by the woman of the house when she went to the market to bring back small groceries items.
