George Inness Moody sunset landscape painting
George Inness Moody sunset landscape painting. This "George Inness" Impressionist painting is one of his later works from the late 19th century and is a wonderful example of his bright moody sunset landscape paintings from this period. Signed lower right. Original condition with an over varnish. This painting measures 12 and one quarter inches by 17 inches.Born 1825 died 1894. See Who Was Who in American Art Volume ll page 1687 for a complete bio on the artist.Inness is one of the major 19th century American Landscape painters during his own time his works were compared to Corot and Rouseau.
