Antique Hickory Splint Country Bench
Antique Hickory Splint Country Bench. "antique country bench" This country bench measures 19 and three quarters inches long by 15 and one half inches wide at the top and is 16 and one half inches high to the bench seat top. The hickory splint seat is all original,strong,and in excellent condition with a lovely old worn look. We have only seen a few pieces that have seats with this advanced splint designed cross over pattern to their seats. It is a much more complicated way to weave a seat and only the best people back then did it this way
