Antique Cherry Victorian flat top desk c1870

Rare Antique Cherry Victorian flat top desk c1870. This leather top flat top desk is in excellent original condition including its original finish. This is a top off the link desk from the American Victorian period. This cherry desk has a compartment and drawers on one side and two compartments on the other. The piece was so well made that the doors have double hinges so that if when they are opened if someone were to walk into one of them they would open yet again to stop the door from braking. The tops of both banks are put together with large hand cut dovetails. The raise panels are the best we have ever seen on a desk from this period. All the doors and drawers work beautifully. The desk was made in three pieces so it is easy to move up or down stairs or through narrow door ways. As nice as this desk looks in the pictures we have provided it is even more important looking in person. Measures 60 inches wide by 36 inches deep by 30 and one half inches high. Each bank is 17 inches wide. The inside open space where one sits is 22 and one half inches.
