Pencil pointer sharpener A B Dick Company. This rare antique pencil sharpener was made by the "A. B. Dick Company" in Chicago . The brass label on the front states Planetary Pencil Pointer A. B. Dick Company Chicago U.S.A. This antique pencil sharpener is made from cast iron and retains its original finish. Measures 5 inches high, 6 and three quarters inches to the end of the handle and 4 and one half inches deep. Great illustration of the Planetary Pencil Pointer by A. B. Dick Company was in an ad for the Planetary pointer pencil sharpener in McClures magazine May, 1898. stated "Now anyone can sharpen a pencil"
