Set four Antique American Rod Back Windsor Chairs c1800
Set four period antique American Rod Back Windsor Chairs c1800. This is a true set of period American "Rod back Windsors" dating from 1790 to 1810. They are hickory and pine with solid plank seats. Each chair measures 34 and one half inches to the top of the back,17 and one quarter inches to their seats and 15 inches deep overall. Each chair is in excellent condition and strong not loose at all. One of these chairs has a label on the bottom that says Jane Mae Murphy Born 10.1.1776 married John Duncan Born 1.24.1768 on December 15,1795. This is one of the four chairs alike that was part of their wedding outfit. Their daughter Hannah (named for his her Grandmother Hannah Henry) was born April 26 1798 Married Capt. Thomas Patterson Born Aug. 10.1786 on April 30,1818.
