Joseph Heath Flow Blue ironstone plates Tonquin
Antique pair of Flow Blue English Staffordshire ironstone plates Tonquin c1845 to 1853. This pair of flow blue stoneware plates were made by "Joseph Heath" in Tunstall, Staffordshire England. The flow is as good as it gets with deep dark color. Each plate measures 10 and one half inches across.Each plate has spur marks which come from being held in the process of making them.See Fascinating Flow Blue by Jeffrey B Snyder page 129 to 131 for more information on this maker.Excellent condition with no repairs,chips or cracks
