This is a lovely sterling silver Cini brooch in the form of a basket of flowers.C1925. Guglielmo Cini trained as a jewelry designer in Florence, Italy, and moved to the USA in 1922 and establishing his own jewelry business in Boston. This floral jewelry piece is an example example of his more detailed work with open hand pierce cut flowers. This open pierce cut design is one of the most difficult to make. It is in excellent condition and measures 2 3/4" x 2 1/8". The brooch is signed on the back "Guglielmo Cini, Sterling". |
