Antique Gold and diamond cross

Antique gold and diamond cross, this period "diamond and gold cross" dates from the 17th century and is 18k gold with diamonds set in silver. The sand cross frame is overlaid in cannetile. This gold and diamond cross has 17 rose cut diamonds set in silver encased mounts. Late 18th century repair to the bale back hole stamped ET with the gold smith's initials that repaired it. There is one area in the bottom at the back that has a slight line bend mark which is not visible from the front and does not propose any problems to the piece, it is just part of history of the cross.The condition is excellent for jewelry from this period with no repairs to the front and all the diamonds being original. The combination of gold silver and diamonds is just beautiful. We rarely find jewelry from this period. This cross measures 2 and one half inches long by 1 and three quarters inches wide. The total weight is 11 and one half grams.
