This "Antique Davenport Caneware Relief Molded Wine Cooler circa 1800 to 1810" measures 7 and one quarter inches in diameter at the rim and is 9 and three quarter inches tall. Caneware is a tan color, unglazed stoneware developed around the year 1770. See mark in "English China and its Marks" by Thos. Ornsby pg. 52. Grape vines on either side with applied satyr mask handles impressed anchor and Davenport mark.
