Atkin Brothers silver plated spoon warmer
Antique English Silver spoon warmers,Atkin Brothers silver plated spoon warmer,this rare and wonderful mid 19th century Victorian silver plated spoon holder measures six inches long and six inches high and is designed to look like a conk shell. See Millers 98 page 373 for a similar example. This Antique English silver plated spoon warmer depicts a conk shell on a base of rocks and a scallop shell.There is also another example in the latest October 2002 Road Show Insider magazine listing it as a "nautilus shell shaped vessel for toasting with small frontal hinged lid". We hate to dispute the Antiques Road Show but we still believe this is a spoon warmer
