Horse Paintings by Simka Simkhovitch,This watercolor on paper by artist "Simka Simkhovitch" is extremely well done,depicting a pair of horses returning home across a field. Simka Simkhovitch was born in 1893 and died in 1949. There was a wonderful article on Simka in Antiques and the Arts Weekly on November 13 1987 page 20." Simkhovich(1893 1949), a Russian born, American scene painter had been well established in the museum and gallery exhibitions of the late 1920s,30s and 40s. the recipient of many awards and commissions, he did not escape the notice of the best of the critical art reviewers of the period" Frame measures 33 inches by 41 inches and the image measures 24 inches by 32 inches.
