American folk art oil painting,"folk art painting" This folk art painting was painted by painter Bill Dodge in Oct 1962.It is entiled "First Trolley To Van Nuys" The painting in on board and depicts the center of town with all the people in town in the windows and on the street. There is the town market, bakery,Hotel Van Nuys, ice cream parlor and the Wing Lee Laundry. The women in the for ground are against the Trolley and their signs say "Ban the Monster" "Keep Van Nuys rural" Bill Dodge is a well know artist.This painting measures 12 inches by 24 inches.
