Antique French Faux Bamboo Armoire Wardrobe
French furniture,Antique furniture cabinet,French,"wardrobe"Antique French Victorian furniture Faux bamboo armoire or wardrobe signed. The original ivory label is still intact. It reads, "Fabrique De Meubles Charles Verbeke Grand Rue de Flandre". This French Victorian faux Bamboo armoire measures 91 inches high by 37 inches wide by 17 inches deep. Excellent condition with original key and plate glass mirror. Wide hand cut dovetail construction on back and drawer sides.This rare piece of period French bamboo furniture was made between C1860 and 1875. The last wardrobe of this fine quality that we acquired was over 10 years ago. This piece could easily be made into a china cabinet with a bronze or brass open diamond grated wire front. The mirror could then be used in another room.
